About Us
The Niles McKinley Red Dragon Band is the heart and pride of our community, uniting students, families, and alumni through the power of music. Our talented student musicians shine in every performance, from dynamic concert ensembles to thrilling marching band productions.
For those who love symphonic music, our elite symphonic band explores masterworks that push the boundaries of artistry and ensemble skill. Meanwhile, our concert band offers a diverse musical experience, blending timeless classics with modern innovation.
Yet, it’s the marching band that truly ignites Niles. With electrifying musicianship, precision choreography, and unforgettable performances, our halftime shows captivate audiences and fuel the Red Dragon spirit.
Beyond the field and stage, our history is deeply intertwined with Niles' musical legacy, including the unique tradition of Script Niles—a cherished formation performed by our marching band. Learn more about this tradition here.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we depend on the generosity of our community to uphold our tradition of excellence and inspire future generations of musicians. More than awards and accolades, the true reward lies in the lifelong friendships and unforgettable experiences forged in the Red Dragon Band family.
